In these artworks, I assert on the need for support by friends and family of the patient, through recreating the cancer treatment of one of a friend of mine by embroidery art with her own hair.  As her friends, we decided to hold a party after each chemotropic season, to both make her happy and help her with the side effects of the treatment. I named the collection “Cancer is Not a Secret” because I found out that many patients keep it a secret from their friends and family. I would use her own hair combined with treads and beads to create artworks that show the happy and sad sides of these events. I’ll use videos taken through these seasons with some of the artworks.
